Wix to WordPress migration

Wix to WordPress migration with content, design, redirects, and launch checks.

WPGeared moves websites from Wix to self-managed WordPress when the owner needs more control over content, templates, integrations, performance, or future development. Because Wix themes and many platform features do not transfer directly, the project begins with an inventory of pages, posts, media, forms, SEO settings, domain records, apps, and business workflows.

United States and worldwide

Remote delivery with the market, money, and ownership stated clearly.

Wix migrations are delivered remotely for US and worldwide clients through a staging site, USD estimate, written URL and launch plan, and a client-time-zone release window. WPGeared is based in India and does not present the service as a local US office.

Who this is for

This service may help if...

  • A Wix business site that needs WordPress ownership and a more flexible editing model
  • A content site with useful rankings, links, and URLs that must be mapped carefully
  • A Wix design that needs to be rebuilt responsively rather than copied blindly
  • A site using forms, bookings, ecommerce, memberships, or apps that need WordPress replacements

What is included

What this service includes

01

Wix content and feature inventory

Pages, blog posts, media, forms, products, members, apps, analytics, domain, email, SEO settings, and current URLs are recorded with owners and migration constraints.

02

WordPress design rebuild

Approved layouts are recreated as responsive WordPress templates and reusable editing patterns; Wix theme code itself is not treated as portable WordPress code.

03

Content and workflow migration

Agreed text, media, blog content, products, forms, redirects, tracking, and replacement integrations are moved or rebuilt on staging with sample checks.

04

Launch and search verification

Backups, canonical behavior, redirect mapping, forms, analytics, sitemap, index controls, DNS ownership, HTTPS, and key pages are checked around launch.

How it works

What happens from start to finish

  1. 01

    Inventory

We identify the Wix content, URLs, apps, domain records, business functions, and design elements that need a WordPress destination.

  2. 02

    Map

Each retained page, post, media type, form, product, and integration receives a rebuild, migration, replacement, redirect, or retirement decision.

  3. 03

    Rebuild

WordPress is prepared on staging, templates and integrations are implemented, and approved content is migrated and reviewed.

  4. 04

    Launch

The domain change follows an owner-assigned checklist with redirects, tracking, forms, search controls, backups, and rollback steps.

★★★★★
He transferred my entire site from Wix to Wordpress and I'm really happy with it. He saved me so much time and stress trying to figure it out myself. Aamir is very patient and took the time to explain things.

Review the migration process

Good to know

What may not be included

  • Wix templates, proprietary apps, automations, bookings, stores, and member features may need manual rebuilding or a different WordPress product; exact one-click parity is not promised.
  • Domain transfer, DNS, email, payment, subscription, and app ownership must be confirmed separately so the website launch does not break other business services.
  • Redirects and careful checks can reduce migration risk, but no provider can guarantee unchanged rankings, traffic, ad performance, or third-party behavior after a platform move.

Questions

What clients ask first

Can a Wix site be exported directly into WordPress?

Some content can be transferred or transformed, but Wix templates and many platform features are proprietary. A reliable project assumes that important layouts and integrations may need a controlled rebuild.

Can I keep the same domain?

Usually. The domain can point to the new WordPress host after the site, email, DNS records, ownership, HTTPS, and rollback steps are confirmed. A registrar transfer is not always necessary.

Can the new WordPress site look the same?

The design can be recreated or improved, but it should be rebuilt responsively in WordPress rather than presented as a pixel-for-pixel code transfer. Interactive Wix features may need different components.

How do you protect existing search traffic?

The process inventories current URLs, preserves useful slugs where practical, maps necessary redirects, checks canonicals and sitemaps, retains important content and metadata, and monitors Search Console after launch. Risk can be reduced, not eliminated.
